nursing students work with instructors in Simulation Lab

Regional Simulation Center

In the fall of 2015, Washburn Tech opened a multi-million dollar health care training lab on its campus. The Regional Simulation Center (RSC) contains four simulation bays that resemble an acute health care setting with the newest innovative technology. RSC also features five high-fidelity CAE Health Care mannequins which can span from neonate to geriatrics. In addition to the bays, a two-bed Operating Room as well as a Rehabilitation Center are fully furnished with state-of-the-art equipment.

Our Mission

The RSC’s mission is for students and health care professionals within the community to challenge their current clinical skill level by using live and high-fidelity simulations to enhance patient safety. Participants demonstrate quality improvements while collaborating with multiple disciplines as well as developing and expanding their critical thinking skills.

The goal of the RSC is to provide a safe learning experience that promotes successful understanding in all aspects of health care. Learn more by checking out the RSC Policy & Procedure Manual.
