Topeka – Washburn University Institute of Technology (Washburn Tech) will begin classes in the East Topeka Community on Monday, Jan. 7, at Antioch Family Life Center at 1921 SE Indiana Ave. The facility will temporarily host classrooms until construction is complete at Washburn Tech East, being built nearby at 2014 SE Washington St.

“Construction delays have postponed the opening of the Washburn Tech East facility by several months, but Washburn holds firm to our commitment of providing educational opportunities in East Topeka at the start of the year,” said Jerry Farley, president, Washburn University. “Washburn is pleased to partner with Antioch Family Life Church and Pastor T.D. Hicks in fulfilling our promise.”

All programs and classes, scheduled for Washburn Tech East, will be offered at the temporary classroom location.
