Tutoring Available

Students who need some extra assistance with math can go to the Advantage Center in the east wing of Building A.

Summer 2017 hours are as follows:

  • Monday, 3 - 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, 3 - 5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 3 - 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, 3 - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, 3 - 5:30 p.m.

Outstanding Students 2017-2018

Each year, two students are chosen to receive the Outstanding Student Award. This honor is based on their overall outstanding performance at Washburn Tech. Students are nominated by their instructor and are chosen based on attendance, academic achievement, an essay and a personal interview. Outstanding Student Award recipients receive a $500 cash award in recognition of their accomplishment.

Stacey Broers is a graduate of the Practical Nursing program. She made the decision to pursue a nursing degree after being a stay-at-home mother and a special education paraprofessional. Stacey is known for consistent hard work coupled with a compassionate, caring nature. Read more about Stacey's story!

Joshua Wilhelm is a graduate of the Automotive Service Technician program and Holton High School. Josh has been active with many campus efforts including the Washburn Tech Car Club and Recycled Rides. He has earned several awards at SkillsUSA Kansas competition including a gold medal in the spring of 2017. He will compete at the national level in Louisville, Ky. this summer.
