Our students have a unique opportunity to further their education by earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS), an Associate of Science Degree (AS) or an Associate of Arts Degree from Washburn University.
The following courses can be taken on the Washburn Tech campus to earn an AAS degree. You may complete the following courses at the same time or after you've completed your certificate. For more information about the enrollment process, check-out Washburn Tech's AAS information sheet.
If you prefer an AS degree, Washburn University's School of Applied Studies offers coursework which leads to the completion of an associate degree. These programs require course work at both Washburn Tech and Washburn University.

Students, transferring from Washburn Tech to Washburn University in one of the above programs, are eligible for reduced tuition for the courses required for the associate degree.
If you are interested, you may start taking WU general education courses prior to graduation at Washburn Tech. However, you must have completed or be enrolled in at least 12 hours at Tech to receive the tuition discount for WU courses. This discount applies to WU courses required for completion of the associate degree.
Washburn Tech students who complete an associate degree at Washburn University can continue their education to receive a bachelor’s degree and beyond at Washburn University. Students who wish to take courses at both campuses may take no more than 20 credit hours each semester.
