Bridge Program

The Bridge Program is an opportunity to build academic skills that will increase your chances for success in college, whether you plan to attend Washburn University, Washburn Tech or any post-secondary institution. We work on improving basic skills in math, reading, writing and computer applications. You will earn 13 credit hours by completing this one semester program.

When Are Bridge Classes Offered?

Classes are held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and begin in fall, spring and summer on Washburn Tech's campus. If you want to learn more about the Bridge Program, orientation sessions are held throughout the year so call Washburn Tech to check the schedule.

Some helpful hints:

  • financial aid is available to those who qualify
  • complete a 2015-2016 FAFSA form to determine your eligibility for aid
  • if you previously completed a FAFSA form, be sure to add Washburn Tech's school code (010689)
  • before enrolling in the Bridge Program, you are required to take the Compass test; see a recruiter for details
  • once we have your Compass test on file, your enrollment in Bridge classes is complete
